Alchemy Systems Group, based in Windsor, Surrey, has been using GFI MAX RemoteManagement remote server monitoring system for over a year.

“Our client base is mainly SMBs so we were looking for cost effective solutions to enable real-time monitoring of all clients servers,” explained Mike Breeze, service delivery manager at Alchemy. “There are a lot of products out there that could do the job but programs like HP Openview are financially beyond the reach of most of our clients. The GFI MAX RemoteManagement system gives us all the functionality we need to check our clients’ system on a daily basis at a reasonable cost.”

He added: “A key benefit has been that we have not had to increase our headcount to cope with increased levels of business. Much of the day-to-day Level 1 helpdesk issues are dealt with efficiently by the GFI MAX RemoteManagement system which means we have been able to invest in people with higher skill sets. Using the Daily Health Check system developed by GFI MAX RemoteManagement we can send a note each day to clients reassuring them that all their systems are performing normally.”

Alchemy was established eight years ago and now employs 25 people with offices in Windsor, Greater Manchester, Newbury, Exeter, Lytham St. Annes and Burton-on-Trent.
