We are a public school system and have approximately 450 email
accounts. We process over 1,000,000 (yes, one million) messages
per month! We have GFI MailEssentials installed on a front end server
and GFI MailSecurity on the Exchange server. GFI MailEssentials
sees the mail first and stops around 97% of the mail aimed at us
before we even have to look at it. We let GFI MailEssentials move
the mail to folders based on the rule which stopped it and then
manually look through those three folders (Bayesian, Header, and
Keyword) for false positives. Our false positive rate is presently
about .03%. I recently completed the GFI MailSecurity install and
just a few hours later we had already processed 1,400 messages (and
stopped several viruses) through GFI MailSecurity. Even with GFI
MailEssentials on the front end, about 10% of the mail that makes
it to GFI MailSecurity still is quarantined for one reason or another.
Ours is a small staff of three men supporting approximately 1,500
desktops and 25 servers. Thus, we have to have tools which enable
us to work smarter, not necessarily harder. We have been with GFI
for several years and the last versions of GFI MailEssentials (11)
and GFI MailSecurity (9) have been real time savers for us.
