Drastic price cuts for GFI's FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP range
London, UK, 20 January 2000 - GFI, leading developer of fax server software, has announced reduced pricing for its FAXmaker range, to make it the most affordable network fax package on the market.
All the 1999 pricing for FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP (FFN) and most of the FAXmaker for Exchange (FEX) prices have been reduced, resulting in excellent value for money and making it more accessible to companies across the board.
For example, GFI 's 10-user version is now priced $350 (FFN) and $395 (FEX), as opposed to $495 last year. The 25-user version now sells at $650 (FFN) and $750 (FEX) instead of $795. The FFN 35-user version is now $100 cheaper than last year, at $895. The pricing of the FFN 50-user, 100-user, 250-user and unlimited user versions have been reduced to $1,095, $1,495, $1,995 and $2,495 respectively. Other price reductions include the 35- and 50-user FEX versions, to $950 and $1295 respectively.
"GFI is pleased to present our fax server clients with even better value through this price reduction," Nick Galea, president of GFI, said. "This makes FAXmaker a worthwhile choice - all the more so because the reduction coincides with the launch of our latest FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP upgrade, which now supports Office 2000 document conversion, among other improvements. This is soon to be followed by the introduction of FAXmaker 2000, scheduled for release at the same time as the launch of Windows 2000."
New version of FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP
FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP 7.1 builds on the strengths of its predecessor - 7.0 - which was recently awarded Product of the Year 1999 by Internet Telephony Magazine.
FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP installs on Windows NT 4 and includes an SMTP/POP3 fax gateway, allowing fax integration with all popular SMTP/POP3 servers, as well as Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise. This allows users to send and receive faxes from their e-mail client. GFI's FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP 7.0 proved revolutionary, as it was the first to integrate with Outlook without requiring Exchange server.
The latest version includes the support for Office 2000 document conversion and for ISDN EICON PRI-30M.
