GFI opens new office in Rochester N.Y.
London, UK, 9th December 1996 - GFI, developer and designer of fax server software, is opening a new office in Rochester (N.Y.) this week. With the opening of the new branch, GFI is introducing new, low cost fax solutions to the American market. GFI's products, already leading in important markets in Europe such as Germany and Scandinavia, are estimated to be at least 50% cheaper than the current products on the US market, and technically the most advanced.
GFI's products, FAXmaker for Networks, FAXmaker for Exchange and FAXmaker Fax on Demand, are all designed to facilitate a company's communications. Whether it is sending and receiving faxes straight from your desktop, integrating e-mail and fax, or sending faxes automatically, the FAXmaker family of products can save a company substantial costs: "An average company using FAXmaker instead of a conventional fax, can save around 30,000 US dollars a year on staff time", says Nicholas Galea president and CEO of GFI. Compared to similar products on the American market, GFI's products are cheaper and technically more advanced. Other distinctive factors are the user friendliness of the products, and the wide support GFI offers for e-mail systems.
GFI's products are already established on the European market, and have recently been introduced to the Asian market, where Microsoft Taiwan was the company's first major win. Nicholas Galea says he regards America as an important new market for the company's products. "The USA is the fastest growing market in terms of software applications. This is were our company's biggest opportunities lie."
The main tasks of the new branch will include setting up a distribution network of dealers and distributors in the U.S.A. and Canada. Furthermore, GFI USA will be promoting a bundle version of FAXmaker to major Microsoft OEM's. Tom Kucmierz, president of GFI USA is pleased to be working with GFI: "GFI's products are leading edge and relatively low cost. I think there are great opportunities for these products in Canada and the USA". Tom Kucmierz, who has 12 years' experience in the software market, has launched several software products successfully in the USA. GFI USA will also be opening its own web site: http://www.gfi.com.
