A comprehensive & cost-effective fax server for Windows 2000

London, UK, 15 January 2001 - GFI, leading developer of fax server software, today announced a new release of its popular fax server, FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP 8. This new version now includes a native Windows 2000 fax server.

With FAXmaker all network users can send and receive faxes right from their desktop, using either the FAXmaker client or their favorite email client. FAXmaker includes fax clients for Windows 95/98/ME, NT/2000. It also includes an email-to-fax gateway that works with all popular SMTP/POP3 servers as well as Lotus Notes.

The new Windows 2000 fax server supports the Windows 2000 fax modem drivers, which gives a wide range of hardware support and provides faster fax transmission. All user administration is done via the Microsoft Management Console. FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP 8 also supports the HP Digital sender, which allows users to send paper documents via the fax server easily.
